简介：

不幸沦落成为孤儿的杜小双（林青霞 饰）寄宿在朱家，和朱诗卉（恬妞 饰）、朱诗尧（谷名伦 饰）两人成为了无话不谈的真心好友。一次偶然中，小双结识了名为卢友文（秦汉 饰）的男子，友文自称作家，他的才情和谈吐很快就吸引了小双的注意，眼看着小双和友文之间的关系越来越亲密，一直在内心里默默爱慕小双的诗尧只能将感情默默的埋藏在心底。                                    
                               小双和友文结婚了，可是，还未从新婚的甜蜜中走出来，小双就发现清高自负的友文连一篇像样的文章都写不出来，生活迅速陷入窘困的两人开始了没完没了的争吵。因为友文的粗暴，小双流产了，尽管心碎的小双决定了离婚，但友文却从未真正的从她的心里离开。

It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.　　The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944.  Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance.  The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.
